What happens after I submit my application?

After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email from the Local Authority. If you do not receive this, please check your junk or spam folder or contact the Local Authority directly.

School places are confirmed on National Offer Day (Monday 1st March 2027). Parents will be notified by email only.

What happens if my child is offered a place?

Congratulations! We look forward to welcoming your child to The Radclyffe School.

Our transition programme helps Year 6 pupils feel confident and prepared for secondary school. Students are invited to attend an Induction Day, where they will:

  • Meet their Year Manager
  • Meet their Personal Learning Guide (PLG)
  • Become familiar with the school environment and daily routines
  • Take part in taster lessons that give them a preview of subjects taught at TRS
  • Take part in team building activities, which will help students get to know one another ahead of September.

Parents are also invited to a New Parents’ Evening, where we share key information about starting at the school.

You can read more about our transition programme on the Transition page.

Can I appeal the decision if my child has not been offered a place?

If your child is not offered a place at The Radclyffe School, you have the right to appeal the decision.

  • The deadline for appeals is 10 April 2027
  • Appeal hearings will begin during 2027 (date to be announced)
  • Appeals are heard by an independent panel

Full details and appeal forms can be found on our Appeals page.
