Transition Reading Project

Reading is a fundamental skill that unlocks all other learning. At The Radclyffe School, we place a strong emphasis on developing children’s reading ability and wider literacy skills so they can fully access and succeed in our curriculum. As part of the transition process, every student will receive a copy of Homer’s ‘The Odyssey’ along with a Transition Reading Booklet. Click here for more information about The Odyssey Transition Reading Project.

Transition Handbook

This booklet has been created to help students and their families prepare for the move to Year 7. It will provide key information about what to expect, what school life will be like, and the support that will be in place to help students settle in quickly and confidently. We hope it will also help answer some of the questions you may already have.
